About this tour

Gibraltar Rock Tours also offers the Gibraltar Complete Tour, a full-day experience lasting approximately 6 hours. This tour provides the most comprehensive exploration of Gibraltar’s coastal beauty, cultural heritage, and military history—perfect for those who want to truly discover everything the Rock has to offer.

Your journey begins at the Pillars of Hercules, where myth and history meet with breathtaking views over the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. From there, you’ll enter the stunning St. Michael’s Cave, where nature’s artistry is brought to life with the enchanting Awakening Light Show among ancient limestone formations.

Next, you’ll step onto the Gibraltar Skywalk, a spectacular glass platform suspended 340 meters above sea level. This exhilarating viewpoint offers 360-degree panoramic views stretching across Gibraltar, the Mediterranean, Spain, and even the distant coast of Africa—an unmissable highlight for any visitor.

No visit to Gibraltar is complete without meeting the famous Barbary Apes, Europe’s only free-roaming monkeys. Playful and iconic, they bring a unique wildlife encounter to your journey.

The tour continues into Gibraltar’s fascinating military history with visits to the Great Siege Tunnels and the City Under Siege Exhibition, both offering deep insights into the resilience of the Rock’s defenders across the centuries. You will then explore the World War II Tunnels, an underground network built during the war that once housed soldiers, hospitals, and command centers—shedding light on Gibraltar’s vital role in Allied operations.

Your journey through history continues with a visit to the ancient Moorish Castle, a fortress dating back to the 14th century, where its stone walls and towers still stand as a testament to Gibraltar’s Islamic heritage.

The Complete Rock Tour also takes you to the mighty 100 Ton Gun, an extraordinary piece of Victorian military engineering, before reaching Europa Point, Gibraltar’s southernmost tip. Here, the Trinity Lighthouse watches over the waters where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic, with sweeping views across to Morocco.

Finally, you’ll pass by the picturesque fishing village of Catalan Bay, a colourful coastal gem where history, tradition, and natural beauty combine.

Join Gibraltar Rock Tours for the Complete Rock Tour of Gibraltar—a journey through landscapes, legends, and history that will leave you with unforgettable memories of the Rock. For more information or to book, don’t hesitate to contact us.

An Insiders Guide to Gibraltar

Aug 2023

This is a fabulous insiders perspective on Gibraltar and its wonderful history and sites. John is a wonderful guide and working with him have us the opportunity to see so much more of Gibraltar than we would alone. He knows every nook and cranny and it shows. He is very knowledgeable and kind and this was our favorite experience. My husband and teenage kids were equally thrilled. A must do!
